This is one of my family’s favorite recipes for pork tenderloin which is just as lean as a skinless chicken breast. That’s right, a 3-oz serving of pork tenderloin only has 2.98 grams of fat which is slightly less than 3 oz of skinless chicken breasts. I love making this pork rub recipe because it is so quick, healthy and easy my kids can even do it and we don’t even have to get our fingers dirty!
Latin Rubbed Pork Tenderloin
2 pounds pork tenderloin
1 tablespoon cumin
1 tablespoon chili powder
2 teaspoons cinnamon
1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
1 teaspoon ground black pepper
pinch of sea salt
1 gallon resealable plastic bag
Directions:
Combine spices into resealable plastic bag. Seal and shake well to blend. Then place tenderloins in bag and shake to evenly distribute the rub. Then place pork on the grill for 15-25 minutes. You want a final temperature of 160 degrees F, leaving the center pink and juicy. You can cook until 150 degrees F and allow to set for additional 10 minutes before slicing. The temperature of the tenderloin will continue to rise while the juices redistribute throughout the tenderloin.
